COLOR OUTSIDE THE BOX AND GO ROGUE.​

Ever since I was a little girl, I have found great joy in creating! One of my favorite Christmas memories was opening my stocking to a box of colored pencils and spending the entire day sitting by the tree, coloring pages with excitement.
​
As a young child whenever I was sad, I retreated to a little walk-in closet. There I had all my favorite things (color pencils, crayons, sketchpads and blankets and pillows. That little girl strangely understood, art was therapy. It brought me joy, peace, and healing. It was as if I was born to create!

In kindergarten, I excitedly finished the art lesson that was mapped out on the chalkboard. Thrilled that I had embellished details and added my own flair. Later finding that I fail the project for not following instructions. Who fails an art project in kindergarten? To this day I carry that story in my heart and into teaching. GO ROGUE and create with individual flair! Be proud of your one-of-a-kind creation!

Art should be fearless! I live and teach as Pablo Picasso said, "Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up".
